Paru Chaudhari MD

Board-certified Dermatologist

Dr. Paru Chaudhari is a board-certified dermatologist dedicated to providing comprehensive dermatologic care to her patients and has over a decade of patient care experience. Her expertise lies in skin cancer prevention and diagnosis, cutaneous inflammatory conditions, and photo-rejuvenation.

Dr. Chaudhari was born and raised in San Jose, California. She attended the University of California at Los Angeles for her undergraduate training, graduating with honors in Economics. She then moved to New York, where she earned her medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. During medical school, she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha society and was awarded the prestigious Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship. Dr. Chaudhari then returned to the Bay Area to complete her postgraduate training in Dermatology at Stanford School of Medicine.

After training, Dr. Chaudhari practiced for many years in Manhattan. She decided to return home to Northern California to be closer to family and practiced in San Francisco before settling down in the East Bay. She currently serves as a volunteer Clinical instructor in Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Chaudhari has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has authored several book chapters in the field of Dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She also is a co-founder of Mor Ventures Inc creating science-backed skin care for families.

In her free time, Dr. Chaudhari enjoys spending time with her husband, who is an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the community, and her three young children. They love exploring different parts of the Bay Area. She also is an avid San Jose Sharks fan and has been since she was 13 years old – she is still hopeful they will win the Stanley Cup one day.
